Dark Reapers

A morbid bunch of bent-for-revenge, trigger-happy misfits with a penchant for terror and the weaponry to create lots of it. After battles, these guys wander over to the remains of targeted squads and snag some souvenir body parts. (Save 'em, trade 'em, collect 'em all!) It's halloween everyday for these guys, hence the dark clothing and scary masks. And if the masks don't scare your opponent, their firepower should...

Picture this. A squad of Space Marines out for a stroll (ok, patrol) through the park. Suddenly, it begins raining. A pair of Krak Missles (from the Exarch- hit on 2+, incinerate on 2+) and 8 Reaper Launcher rounds (hit on 3+, kill on 3+) scream in from nearly 48 inches away. The smoke clears and another unit of Space Marines has ceased to be of any consequence.

What fun!

I used a fairly conventional paint scheme for mine (it helps that both the Dark Reaper Aspects and the Ulthwe have chosen black as their primary colour). The Exarch is a nicely sculpted model, I just don't understand why anyone would give their Exarch a Shuriken Cannon when a Missle Launcher is available for just 5 points more. I'm currently converting a Maugen Ra model who will hold a Missle Launcher and stand in as my Exarch- I'll post a photo when he's finished.
